How Basket Kase Was Created
The owner, Darlene Bender, and her husband traveled the country working in the renewable energy industry. They decided to buy their home in East Texas because they were always working in this state and the property was exactly what they were looking for. After living in the Palestine area for almost 2 years, listening to what others were saying the town was missing, and knowing that she had the drive and knowledge to give it to them, Basket Kase was born.
Darlene Bender is a mother, entrepreneur, veteran, and grandmother, who has always had a taste for the creative industry. She loves using her hands as a way to calm her anxious, overactive brain. She is often referred to as “Grandma Bing” by her husband, Jake, because that describes how her brain thinks in chains. That’s how she is able to create such unique and innovative gifts.
